Privacy: how we deal with your information?

You’re using Provisor because you’re working or volunteering at an event. The event coordinator has asked you to install and use Provisor to help with making the event go much smoother.

Provisor collects as little data as possible about you while you use it:

  • your “callsign”, this is what you’re called in the application on the map. This might be preset by the event organizer, or you can change it in the app.

  • your role & icon, used like your callsign.

  • when you turn on location tracking, we store your location to show it to colleagues or other volunteers.

  • when you place markers on the map, this information is shared likewise.

We don’t share that data with third-parties. This data can be used by us and by the event organizer to organize the event you're participating in. We don't use it for other purposes.

We store this data for a while longer after the event has ended, up to a maximum of 30 days. During this period, we may use this information for analysis or to audit what happened during the event. If there's a law enforcement investigation, we might have to keep some parts of the data for longer than 30 days.

We can also collect anonymous information about how you used the app, like how many buttons you clicked, which features you used and crashes that happened while you used the app. We use Sentry to collect that information and the data is stored on their servers. We use this information to improve the app, fix bugs and make the app more user-friendly.
